“But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
This will be one of our goals in Los Angeles as we associate with Open Corner Christian Home located in Anaheim, is building tiny homes like these to enlarge their capabilities, helping our homeless friends in Skid Row. By God’s grace, in God’s time, may God’s will be done.
We are inviting you to be our partner to sow the seeds, reap the harvest, and glorify God with us. We give thanks to God for giving us the opportunity to serve to be the blessings to others. To God be the Glory. Amen.
Dr. Bob Lay, Dean of The Urban Ministry Institute started with a spiritual breakfast of Ruth 1:16:
“For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.”
Thank Chosen Generation Church, Pastor Cedric Nelms and Jay Eaton for their support.
Give appreciation and thanks to our faithful volunteers, Karen Wheeler Anderson, her family and students who help rain or shine.
And our brother Jamie Jaramillo whose answer to God’s calling always is YES.
We thank God for providing all we need, even His light – Jesus’ light ALWAYS shines when we serve.
Let us give God a big applause and sing Hallelujah! To God Be The Glory. Amen.

Being homeless usually they are trying to hide their past, they are shy and feel shame, have extremely low self-esteem and this is blended with some sort of pride. It sounds complicated and hard to reach out to their hearts. The first time when I started to share the Gospel and my little mobile Christian library with them, I hesitated to hug them because of the unpleasant smell. I cared for them from a distance. They kept me at a distance as well. I couldn’t reach out to the unreachable to bring the glory to God. I was frustrated. When I got home, I wasn’t happy. I felt I was a hypocrite. My inward didn’t match my outward. I kept praying, asking God to change my heart and help me. Then the Word revealed in my heart:
Our Lord, Savior Jesus Christ reached out to the lepers, why can’t we?
The first greatest commandment is: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
The second greatest commandment is: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Now they are my friends; even some who claimed they were Jewish or Muslim before, started reading Christian books.
God is working around us and through us to accomplish the work for the Kingdom all the time. Reach out to the unreachable, touch the untouchable. God will do the rest. We need to grasp every opportunity that God puts in our hand. That’s a command not a suggestion!
Matthew 21:13 – “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”
Satan is real.
After last Sunday I shared “How we can please God? And this morning while I shared “How to glorify God?” a few loud noises came from outside our church at the gate. Instantly fire burned in my heart and I angrily shouted to them in a demanding manner to be quiet and remind them “This is God’s house.”
After this incident, they quieted down. Afterward, I felt bad about my temper. One of our church members came to me quoting Matthew 21:13 and saying, “Jennifer, you are doing the right thing to defend God’s house.” And the other brother came to me say, “Jennifer. You know Satan is going to attack you as long as you share the Gospel. Be ready for the fight.”
After all this happened we closed the service with 1 Chronicles 16:8-36, in which King David instructed Asaph and Asaph’s wife and their relatives on how to glorify God.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Roman 8:31.
Your love for God brings Him joy
Prov. 11:20 – “Those of crooked heart are an abomination to the Lord, but those of blameless ways are his delight.”
Repentance brings joy to God
Luke 15: 7 – “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
Luke 15:10 – “Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Faith also is a way to bring joy to God
Hebrews 11:6 – “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
When you trust God. God is pleased.
Prayer is another way to bring God joy
Prov. 15:8 – “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him.”
Righteous living, live out the Word are another source of joy to God
1 Chronicles 29:17 – “I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.”
All of these are expressions of love to bring God joy.
God delights in all of us who believes in Him. Let His Agape love motivate you to find all ways to bring Him joy now. Amen!
Romans 8:28 – “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
For five years God had mended our relationship ever closer.
My heart is full of joy after reading one of my daughters’ messages:
2 of my professors offered to be my reference for an internship.
I got nominated by 2 professors to study business in Morocco for 3 weeks in the Summer. I am going to apply for scholarships to pay for it or I will pay for it. I am telling you so you can be happy. Thank you!
I have also set up the professors who will write me my recommendation letters for my MBA. So I am happy.
I love you mom thank you for helping me with school and stuff.
My the other daughter, Wendy, is the greatest loving wife and mom to my two grandsons.
God is so good to us. God has revealed Himself to us who love Him. Thank you Daddy! Amen.
Yesterday some brothers and sisters asked me “Jennifer are we still meeting at Skid Row if it’s pouring?”. “Yes. It will stop when we get there.”
Yesterday till 9:20pm I couldn’t find anyone available to help us to pick up burgers at 7:45 am this morning and bring them to Skid Row to serve. The only choice at that time was – I pick up and have no time to share the message with our friends. I prayed for God’s will. Sure enough, at 9:30pm brother Jamie Jaramillo who I didn’t ask, offered to help. I shared the Happiness with our Church. And shared the message of How to be Happy as God’s plan.
No Joy – No Strength. It’s not your problems that are problems. It is the way you see your problems. When God and others are more important to you than yourself, that’s where you find your happiness. Our true happiness is in Jesus and our future with Him. If we are faithful, we can have unspeakable joy and fullness of glory now, in this life.
2 Corinthians 4:18 (ESV) –
“as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
