How To Be Happy

Yesterday some brothers and sisters asked me “Jennifer are we still meeting at Skid Row if it’s pouring?”. “Yes. It will stop when we get there.”

Yesterday till 9:20pm I couldn’t find anyone available to help us to pick up burgers at 7:45 am this morning and bring them to Skid Row to serve. The only choice at that time was – I pick up and have no time to share the message with our friends. I prayed for God’s will. Sure enough, at 9:30pm brother Jamie Jaramillo who I didn’t ask, offered to help. I shared the Happiness with our Church. And shared the message of How to be Happy as God’s plan.

No Joy – No Strength. It’s not your problems that are problems. It is the way you see your problems. When God and others are more important to you than yourself, that’s where you find your happiness. Our true happiness is in Jesus and our future with Him. If we are faithful, we can have unspeakable joy and fullness of glory now, in this life.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (ESV) –
“as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

He said YES!

This last Sunday of 2018, Arthur responded YES!

During today’s service, I noticed a man was focused, listening to God’s Word and wiping his tears. When I asked, “What is your response to God’s calling?” The man, Arthur, stepped out and humbly accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Halleluiah! To God be the Glory!

May all people respond “YES” to God’s calling in 2019.

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! Keep spreading the Good News. May God use you to the fullest. Amen.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV)
“8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

A blessed start from the Word.
Jesus said, “Come to me…..I will give you rest.”

He Stole My Phone!

Proverbs 4:12-“When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.”

This morning while serving at our Church suddenly church members pointed to a guy who is rushing away. The guy stole my phone. Without a second thought I chased the guy. And Church members ran after me. I got my phone back.

Two things I learned from this:
Our Church members are one family under God caring each other, and
I know I can run and fast. Hahaha…
