Jesus Raises Lazarus From the Dead – John 11:38-44
My dear brother in Christ, Jay Eaton, shared this passage with us this morning. During the service, a lady kept disturbing Jay’s preaching. But nothing can stop God’s Word from being preached. Finally, she quieted down, and the whole service ended joyfully.
Our new volunteers – David Serrano’s team, provided gourmet food, service, and clothing for donation. Dave even took off his shoes to one of our friends and walked with a pair of socks. He really demonstrated James 2:14-16 – “14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?”
This week, questions to think about:
1. What does “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF” mean to you and how do you apply it in your life?
2. Is Jesus’ desire to look for the one lost sheep your desire as well?
3. Have you asked yourself one question when you are in doubt of your decision – What would Jesus do?
