Last Day To Donate For Christmas In July

7/16 will be the last day to collect donations for this project to be distributed on 7/23/2017.

I, representing Jesus Knows My Name Ministry, give the deepest thanks to – Albert, Alen Brown, Carmen Avila, Dorthy Horton, Emmie Davis, Jessica Prines, Kiyoko Tatsui, Pam Norwood, and Peggy Heim for your generous donations.

Note that we no longer need toothbrushes, as Chaplain Carmen and Albert from Twin Tower Correction Center already took care of this item. Thanks!

If you are planning to support this “Christmas in July” project by buying shampoo, conditioner, or bar soap, please get TRAVEL SIZE of these items because our friends only use them 1 or 2 times at the the most and then discard due to the weight and space.

Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” ~Matthew 25:45

Thank you for your participation and generous contribution.

Blessing Gifts Bags Project

That time of the year is near! Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year. The Blanket Ministry of The Shepherd Hills Church, Porter Ranch, donated 200 blankets for this year’s “Blessing Gift Bag Project.” We are going to receive abundant blessing by giving out blessing gift bags to our friends at Skid Row.

“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” – Acts 20:35

It’s not too late to join us to receive your blessings. Here are ways you can help:

Donate here on this site.
Or bring the following items to skid row or contact us for how we can receive them from you:  Socks, T-Shirts, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Gloves, non-perishable food.

Come join us. Let the light of the Lord shine through us!

We Need Your Help

We have a vision to reduce the population on Skid Row. But we need your help. You can help by making a donation here on our website. Give as much or as little as the Spirit leads and your heart desires! Nothing is too small. We appreciate your contribution to help us to accomplish this great vision. All donations will be used to share Jesus’s love with our friends on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, by providing food, necessities, other assistance, and helping brothers and sisters recently out of jail and prison find Christian homes to start their new lives.

******All DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE******

Here are things we need:

NEW items for Christmas Blessing Bags (200 bags):
1) Gloves,
2) Socks,
3) T-Shirts,
4) Hygiene items (Shampoo, Bar Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Razor)
5) Christmas cards with a written scripture and your
signature on each card to make them personal.

Volunteers are needed on these days, from 8:30 – 11:00 am:
1) 11/27 – Thanksgiving Sunday
2) 12/25 – Christmas Day
3) 01/01 – New Year’s Day.
I understand these days are very important to spend time with your family. I am asking you to spare 2 to 3 hours on that day to share the love we have received from our Lord with our friends who don’t have family. Let us be their family. Let them see Jesus’ love through us. Let each of us be a blessing to them.

The Glorious Day That God Has Made –Psalm 118:24

Yesterday (8/14/2016) was one of those days. We worshiped the Lord with our brothers, sisters and skid row friends, our longtime friends Pepper and Robert visited, we prayed and praised the Lord for Brother Robert’s healing and his reunion with his family in New Jersey soon. Friends at skid row are expecting to worship the Lord with us, give thanks and give all glories to the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

We just need to be occupied and God will do the rest. What is our responsibility?! To PLANT SEEDS. Good preaching and sharing must be done with love. “When you really love someone, there are moments when you cannot be quiet.” (Pastor Jeff Walling, Shepherd of the Hills Church at Porter Ranch). Don’t be quiet; tell someone of your love and hope. Take the courage He gives you and walk into His divine will, the perfect will:
“…I have put my words in your mouth” – Jeremiah 1:9.
“Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9.

In the afternoon we continued celebrating this glorious day with New Hope International Christian Center at Glendale for their 7th Anniversary. We were worshiping, singing and dancing in God’s house. What a glorious day that God has made!

Thank you Prayer City Troops!

Thank PRAYER CITY TROOPS and Pastor Obie Agbayani Obiacoro for helping God’s ministry – the Jesus Knows My Name Ministry – yesterday, praying and feeding the needy at skid row.

Post and photos by PRAYER CITY TROOPS:

EACH DAY IS A SPECIAL DAY. But what makes Sunday extra special is that we are given by God the chance to serve Him. He lets us become His channel of love to the people who are amongst the closest to His heart. We prepared some food and together with some of our brothers and sisters opened our day with service to God in Skid Row led by “JESUS KNOWS MY NAME MINISTRY.” Thanks to the servants of God for their time and dedication, we were able to distribute food to our brothers and sisters who live in Skid Row. For indeed,  “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” –Matthew 25:45

Hallelujah Jesus Knows My Name Church

Our Vision:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;”  –Matthew 28:19-20

Our Goal:

Family, let us pray for God’s wisdom, provision and the Lord’s clear instruction to lead His ministry and His church. We are the followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for encouragement and unfailing faith in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Brothers and Sisters I am asking all of you take good care of yourself in health, in spirit and unceasing prayer to get ready to fight a good fight for the Lord and serve the Lord.

ON FIRE!

ON FIRE

What a blessed day! We celebrated Jesus’ resurrection day with our precious friends at skid row. Weeks ago our Lord Jesus gave me the courage to share the Word and my testimony with our friends at skid row. When the day was approaching my fear was rising. I was fighting my fear. Our Father God had given me 10 songs to ease my fear, comfort me, and encourage me. Friends from all directions came to help, to sing, to dance, to pray for our friends, and the most important is to demonstrate Jesus’ love.

When our car parked I couldn’t wait get out of the car and speak. At that moment I was fearless, just eager to let my friends know how great is our God, Jesus Christ’s forgiveness and His love for us. Robert gave me a mini microphone but I still used all my strength shout to our friends.

At first I clarified that I am not a pastor neither a preacher. I am just a sinner like anyone else, eagerly wanting to share my hope and God’s grace in my life. What Jesus had done in me. I prayed that God would soften their hearts for days before the Resurrection Day came, and asked the Holy Spirit to speak through me.

I want to share my note with you, my family –

 03/27/2016 Easter Sunday

In John 11:35 Jesus’ close friend Lazarus died. Jesus wept because it broke His heart. In John 11:25 Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” Death is not the end. And the resurrection of Jesus Christ proves it. Jesus’s resurrection is our 2nd chance.

 1 John 4:8  (NASB)
“8
The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

Deuteronomy 30:6  (NASB)
“Moreover the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.”

 2 Corinthians 5:17-21  (NASB)
“17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.  18Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  21 He made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (Christ).”

If you have put your faith in Christ, then Easter means that you will live forever in the presence of God. Easter brings hope to the person who has been devastated by death.

Because Jesus lives
We don’t have to live with loneliness of heart
We don’t have to worry whether God will provide for us
We can pray with confidence
We can have a godly, powerful influence in others’ lives
We experience the Holy Spirit within us
We can have peace in the midst of the most difficult times
We can face death courageously, boldly, and confidently

Although we have suffering in our life which God allows and we have confidence and faith that our Lord will walk us through the trials. Trust and believe in our Lord with our whole hearts and with God nothing is impossible.

 Romans 10:9 says:
“If you confess with your month Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

There are two things are essential for salvation – Confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection.

God used these 10 songs strengthen and encourage me:
The Cross of Christ
Christ is Risen
Open The Eyes Of My Heart
You Raise Me Up
You Are My All In All
Lord I Need You
With All I Am
Christ Is Enough
I Surrender
Lord I Offer My Life To You

May God abundantly bless you and your loved ones. I am very grateful having you in my life. Thank you Lord for the second chance so we can live. In Your Holy name we pray. Amen.
