ON FIRE
What a blessed day! We celebrated Jesus’ resurrection day with our precious friends at skid row. Weeks ago our Lord Jesus gave me the courage to share the Word and my testimony with our friends at skid row. When the day was approaching my fear was rising. I was fighting my fear. Our Father God had given me 10 songs to ease my fear, comfort me, and encourage me. Friends from all directions came to help, to sing, to dance, to pray for our friends, and the most important is to demonstrate Jesus’ love.
When our car parked I couldn’t wait get out of the car and speak. At that moment I was fearless, just eager to let my friends know how great is our God, Jesus Christ’s forgiveness and His love for us. Robert gave me a mini microphone but I still used all my strength shout to our friends.
At first I clarified that I am not a pastor neither a preacher. I am just a sinner like anyone else, eagerly wanting to share my hope and God’s grace in my life. What Jesus had done in me. I prayed that God would soften their hearts for days before the Resurrection Day came, and asked the Holy Spirit to speak through me.
I want to share my note with you, my family –
03/27/2016 Easter Sunday
In John 11:35 Jesus’ close friend Lazarus died. Jesus wept because it broke His heart. In John 11:25 Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” Death is not the end. And the resurrection of Jesus Christ proves it. Jesus’s resurrection is our 2nd chance.
1 John 4:8 (NASB)
“8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
Deuteronomy 30:6 (NASB)
6 “Moreover the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (NASB)
“17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (Christ).”
If you have put your faith in Christ, then Easter means that you will live forever in the presence of God. Easter brings hope to the person who has been devastated by death.
Because Jesus lives
We don’t have to live with loneliness of heart
We don’t have to worry whether God will provide for us
We can pray with confidence
We can have a godly, powerful influence in others’ lives
We experience the Holy Spirit within us
We can have peace in the midst of the most difficult times
We can face death courageously, boldly, and confidently
Although we have suffering in our life which God allows and we have confidence and faith that our Lord will walk us through the trials. Trust and believe in our Lord with our whole hearts and with God nothing is impossible.
Romans 10:9 says:
“If you confess with your month Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
There are two things are essential for salvation – Confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection.
God used these 10 songs strengthen and encourage me:
The Cross of Christ
Christ is Risen
Open The Eyes Of My Heart
You Raise Me Up
You Are My All In All
Lord I Need You
With All I Am
Christ Is Enough
I Surrender
Lord I Offer My Life To You
May God abundantly bless you and your loved ones. I am very grateful having you in my life. Thank you Lord for the second chance so we can live. In Your Holy name we pray. Amen.
